Is your fate line missing? The fate line also knows as the Saturn line or Career line, is usually present on the palm. It is located vertically in the centre of the palm. The fate line helps us see our direction in life, as well as how motivated or dedicated we are. But before I let you know more about the meaning of the missing fate line, it is important to understand some of the roles of the main lines.
MAJOR AND MINOR LINES
Most palms have ‘the major’ lines; a heart line, a line of head and the line of life. I have chosen only these three to be classified as major lines, although some hand readers also like to refer to the Saturn (fate) and Apollo (success) lines as major ones. Some missing lines on certain palms might cause confusion. Not every hand has these lines exactly. The heart line tells us about your emotions and sentiment. The head line shows the mentality. The life line covers all areas of life.
The reason I do not use the fate and success lines as major lines is that they are not always in everyone’s hands. Also, with the fact that they are most likely to change along with the person’s circumstances. The major lines are what people tend to look at first when examining the palms because they are usually the longest and deepest. (See the various Fate line types video here.).
These lines can also subtly change over time; therefore, what is evident in your hands now, does not imply a fixed quality or event. If you are missing lines on the palm, they may just be going through change.
When using the lines for prediction, the information gathered in the past events that have led the person to be where they are now. Any lines or markings that represent the future is just an assumption, whether negative or positive. The reason is that our thoughts and desires change, new lines can form and old ones can fade.
Minor lines can change quickly.
The lines that are most likely to change quickly are the minor lines. This is especially true for the fate line. These lines can even disappear altogether. Keeping in mind that any person can take control of their destiny, palmistry can be used to determine some consequences or guidance for our future. Accordingly, if a line shows a particular attribute, it is important to look for other indications for confirmation; as one feature can offset another.
As an example, a line that shows success for a person may indicate this as a likely conclusion. However, if other signs are against it, such as the lack of willpower, the attainment of that success may be difficult; (but not impossible). Finding adverse signs should not be seen as negative, however, but instead an incentive for making positive changes for better future outcomes.
Meaning of the Fate Line Missing on the Palm
The Saturn/Fate line, which travels from the base of the palm towards the middle finger, is not usually present in young children and not even in some adults.
Unestablished career goals often lead to a missing fate line. However, what if you are an adult with a job? This line, in general, indicates the success of a career, whether they are settled or varying and changeable. The fate line missing altogether does not often happen in adults, but when it is, it does not mean anything negative.
In the course of my career, I have met some people, mostly businesspeople, in whose hands the line was absent. They all were happy to say that they were ‘self-made’ men and that no fate would decide the course of their career.
You are creating your journey in life.
Imagine if the fate line is like a path to where you need to go. If that path cuts through the forest, you stay on that path until you reach the other side or to your destination. What happens if there is no fate line (no path through the forest) but you still need to get through? You make your own path of course!
So when you think about it, the fate line missing on your palm is just an indicator of a free spirit, you can do what you want, create your path and are not bound by any strict regiment. 🙂

NOTE FROM SARI: I created Destiny Palmistry the book for those of you who are interested in palmistry as a beginner and for those who believe there is some truth in respect to the psychoanalysis, as well as predictive aspects of reading hands. I have for this purpose included many traditional meanings as well as modern views based on my experience.
Many find it difficult to be convinced without systematic evidence and wonder why we believe in the predictive palmistry. My answer to that is, the studies of this subject, explored for centuries as a form of divination, has continued to develop in modern times. Furthermore, there is clear support for scientific research that the hands have a connection to the activity of the brain, reflecting the character and wellbeing of the person.
