Success Line and Timing Your Potential Fame

free palm reading, Success line, fate line, destiny

What is the Success Line

The success line, in palmistry, is also known as the line of Apollo, line of sun or creativity is a vertical line which usually rises from the upper areas of the Mount of Moon. It is not a complete line on all hands and is more typically found only in segments. When someone has the success line on the palm, it signifies the sense of achievement and satisfaction that a person feels in their life. It is not a guaranteed mark of success in general.

The reason why it was originally named the line of Apollo, is that in legend, Apollo was the name granted to the sun god who ruled over creativity, music, and the arts; that is why the line is more prominent on those who are using their creative talent positively. (So, don’t be disheartened if you do not have this line).

Keep in mind that the lines on your palm can change over time; therefore, what is evident in your hands now, does not imply a fixed quality or event. When using the lines for prediction, gather information from the past trials that have led the person to be where they are now. Any lines or markings that represent the future are just assumptions. They show what is potential for the subject based on past actions, whether negative or positive.

The Length of the Success Line

The longer this line, the more it shows talent to express creativity, personal fulfilment or merely the capacity to enjoy life. It is not a guarantee of fame and fortune, but it does bring a certain amount of luck into the individual’s life. It shows that there is potential for accomplishing a great deal. In some cases, this line rises from inside the life line; it is then referred to as an inheritance line, suggesting money or property acquired from the family’s estate.

Success line, fate line, destiny
  1. A line that begins from the line of life shows family influence or help in achieving success. Rising from the head line depicts achievement around the age of 35.
  2. Crossbars along the success line below the heart line show obstacles around the age of 35-40. However, if the line continues, then the obstacle is temporary, most likely financial.
  3. A success line that begins at the heart line points to a gain, victory, happiness or even fame around age 50.
  4. When the line changes its angle or direction, it shows a change in the career or life goals. In this case, around age 55.
  5. A line that reaches the ring finger shows a continuation of the achievement into old age.
  6. The fate line shows a change in career or goals around the age of 50.
  7. The fate line forks, depicting the potential for two income sources by around the age of 60.

More than one line?

Having more than one line is not uncommon, especially when an individual has many interests, each line can represent a different area of activity. A secondary line rising from the success line would indicate that achievement branched from one endeavour to another, as an example, a successful artist who writes a book about his art and the writing also becomes a success.

multiple success lines
  1. The success line begins around the age of 35 as a single line.
  2. A second line forms parallel to the original line, which can depict a supporting business partner.
  3. A third line towards the end of the line might suggest another enterprise or project in the later years.

Sometimes parallel lines along the line can refer to another person, particularly family relationships, such as a partner, one or both parents, son or daughter. I have found this to be true when the two parallel lines are very high on the mount reaching the finger of Apollo (ring finger) or between the finger of Saturn (middle finger) and Apollo. In such a case, it refers to living with a family member at old age. If joined lines, they represent a married couple. Markings on the line relate to obstacles or difficulties in achieving success.

Marks on the success line.

A clear star can be a mark of fame (good or bad fame). It can denote social attainment and wealth. But, the person may have to work hard and take risks to get there. Staying grounded is advised or else, general happiness might be affected. A square mark is a protective sign, usually from reputation or social influence. A cross, however, might be a risk of losing reputation. Be careful with judging crossing lines as many times it is simply parts of the girdle of Venus.

Travel lines (Trips, journeys and abroad)

If you are interested in the lines on the palm, you might be curious to know whether it’s possible to see signs of travel? If you think about it, travel is the change or movement from one place to another. The signs of travel can also be signs of restlessness and wanting to get away. These indications can be psychological and instead represent wanting to remove oneself from a situation.

Travel lines can be in various areas of the hand. The obvious thing to look for is a change in the normal flow of the line. The main lines to see these changes are in the life and fate lines. If someone travels abroad as a permanent relocation, the change will be evident in both of these. If the line ‘shifts’ or changes course, it suggests a change of course in life. The line might also show as a broken line.

Travel lines can be branches, like offshoots from the life line and transverse lines on the ulnar edge. In other words, they are horizontal lines on the edge of the palm on the pinkie side. These do not always denote a permanent move aboard, especially if there are several lines present. Note that the uppermost lines are marriage lines and the start of the heart line.

Lines that can point to travel

Lines branching or emanating from the line of life towards the Mount of Moon are signs of trips, but not a guaranteed symbol of permanent relocation. They can also depict a restless person or would love to travel, even if they haven’t. Many offshoots from the life line often depict a person who travels often. A short life line is also a mark of someone restless. These people are not happy to stay in one place forever.

Permanent relocation signs

For a mark of a permanent move abroad, usually, there will be a broken life line, and a connecting line to the fate line or a new section of life line (if the change is lasting). The long-distance travel line is a longer line than the short distance.

permanent relocation

Look also at the shape of the hand, fingers, and mounts for a desire for travel. If a person is a committed traveller through work or pleasure, they will typically have an air or fire type hand due to the adventurous and social nature. The line of life on a venturesome character arch towards the Mount of Moon (mount opposite the thumb), instead of curving around the Venus mount (ball of thumb). (See example here).

The image below is that of a man who permanently relocated abroad at the age of thirty. His life line is very faint, so I have highlighted the break. Note that the life line connects to the fate line around his age fifty. During that time, he had other significant changes in his life.

travel abroad

If there are many fine travel lines from the life line, they will suggest regular journeys. Even a person who regularly goes offshore fishing (for example) might have these lines. Be careful though, if the end of the life line has many fine lines branching out, (like tassels) it might mean something else. (Healthwise) it might be a sign of too much acidity in the body, stomach issues, diabetes or arthritis etc. If you are concerned about your health, please seek medical advice.

tasseled lines at the end of the life line
These tassels at the bottom of a life line are not usually representing travel lines; instead, they relate to health.

The fingers can also show if a person is likely to travel

The finger shapes also come into consideration especially if one has spatulate fingertips, signifying the love of the new and unusual. With square fingertips, the destinations may be somewhere that is more well-known to them. A long pinkie (Mercury finger) would give excellent communication skills so learning another language would not be a problem. The long pinkie is also a sign of someone who doesn’t mind being away from home.

I made a quick video about the travel lines, learn about the ‘areas or countries’ of travel from each line. Also about the timing of the travel, like what age the trip is likely to be. check it out here.

Influence Lines and Support Lines in Palmistry

Influence lines and Support lines

If you are interested in palmistry (hand analysis), you might wonder what some finer, smaller lines on the palm are. Some people only have a few major lines, like the life, head and heart lines. In this article, you will learn about the finer influence lines. Influence lines are fine secondary lines on the palm. The meaning can vary depending on where it is.

The Main (major) Lines

Influence line along the life line

Like a sister line, the most common influence line is alongside the life line. If the line begins at the mount of Mars, it is a Mars line. The influence line along the life line can occur at any point. For instance, if it represents a union/partnership/marriage, we can use the timeline from the life line to guess the timing.

Where else can you find influence lines?

The influence lines can arise from anywhere on the palm. They can also represent a supportive partner if along the life line or if it rises to the fate line. It is more appropriate to be called an inspiration line when it originates from the head or heart lines to touch either the fate or success lines. It is an inspiration line because the person has had an idea, thought, or feeling that inspired action.

Rising from the heart line

These influence lines are most common, rising from the heart line to the success line, showing a heartfelt decision regarding a career, hobby, or business enterprise. They are also referred to as ‘inspiration lines’. However, the name of any line doesn’t matter; the point is that energy is coming from somewhere else and giving it to another area somehow.

Lines on the Mount of Venus

The vertical lines on the Mount of Venus show mainly family influences, whether from the mother, father, or siblings. They can also represent anyone who has impacted or made a strong impression. William Benham describes someone with many influence lines on the Mount of Venus as having a healthy sexual appetite. From my study, many see themselves as spiritually aware.

Influence lines on the fate line

Influence lines on the fate line are somewhat different. They can be rising lines that touch the fate line or parallel lines alongside it. But an influence or support line is only an influence or support line if it is close to the fate line. A line that is parallel but not close to the fate line is a secondary fate line. Many people have more than one fate line.

influence lines, support line palms, marriage line, fate line branches

The influence lines on the fate line can depict a variety of things, such as:

  1. A marriage or union
  2. A business partner
  3. The supportive friend or partner
  4. An epiphany or emotional decision
  5. A period of study to support career

An idea might be what caused the influence, usually regarding career or other important life decisions. If so, the line will rise to the fate line somewhere around the head line or directly from the head line. Remember, these lines are much finer than the main lines.

Some are not influence lines but instead Travel lines.

If a branch line emanates from the line of life towards the Mount of Moon, it signifies trips or travel. However, they are not necessarily a symbol of permanent relocation. Usually, there will be a connecting line to the fate line or a new section of life line if the change is lasting. The long-distance travel line is longer than the short distance.
