Stress Lines and Trauma Lines on the Palms

stress lines, palmistry lines

Stress Lines on the Palms

Stress lines and trauma lines are very similar and can appear in many areas of the palm. The other names for these lines are interference or worry lines. They are not always a negative marking and are often suggest regular domestic worry or family influences (primarily early responsibility or difficulty).

When the lines originate from the mount of Venus and cross the line of life, their meaning becomes more significant. The various stress implications of a worry line crossing the life line can vary. They can be things like life events such as having a child, struggling with finances or emotional issues. All of these things might affect the career or another part of life.

If a worry line is long, originating from inside the mount of Venus, crossing the life line and reaching the head line, it can denote worry over finances. The same markings on the heart line would indicate an emotional matter. A line reaching the fate line can imply career influence, financial concern or both. If there is an island on the fate line and the worry line crosses the island, it can suggest bankruptcy.

A hand covered in many lines

A hand full of lines shows an emotional person who often worries about too many things. Most of these extra lines are stress lines. The subject might have their energy all over the place and their mind doesn’t ever really switch off. The habit of fretting and absorbing other people’s energies is common. I always recommend meditation or other relaxing activities.

Trauma LInes and stress lines

If these worry lines rise from the beginning section of the life line, all the way to the Saturn finger (middle finger) it would suggest a childhood disturbance or trauma. Trauma lines almost always end beneath the Saturn finger; they depict events that had a profound effect on the psyche. The trauma line is almost always fragmented, blurry or faint in its appearance. If this is the case, it may not be a permanent mark.

When I mention this trauma line to someone, many deny ever having anything happen that caused it. However, it is not always something that a person remembers because they might have had the issue during the developing years—such as weaning from the mother, abandonment issues or any other psychological distress as an infant.

Sympathy Lines look like stress lines

Mistaking the sympathy line for a trauma line or ring of Solomon is easy to do. The trauma line reaches the base of the Saturn finger. The sympathy line looks more like a partial ring of Solomon. It shows a compassionate and understanding nature.

The fingernails can also show signs of stress

When looking for clues to stress or the health from the nails, we apply the same principles as for the hands, which is to find something unusual. We also look at the quality. A delicate textured hand should have matching smooth looking nails. If the nails are coarse on a smooth hand, the healthy balance is out of proportion. The coarse nail is usually short dry and dense, more commonly seen on a big hand with rough skin.

A nail usually takes six months to grow from the root to the tip, so some markings can be timed based on where it is on the nail. As an example, a horizontal ridge halfway along the nail would suggest a change or loss of vitality around three months ago. A typical healthy nail is pliable; it has a smooth texture; an average thickness and the colour of the nail is typically light pink. The moons should be milky white, and usually only visible on the thumb.

BLUE/PURPLE NAILS

A bluish tinge within the nail bed can be due to circulatory or respiratory problems. Please note, sometimes this is temporary due to cold weather or cold hands. Also, it is normal for a woman to have bluish nails during the early teens and again at menopause when there are changes in the body hormones. A faint blue tinge covering the nail shows nervousness and possibly some heart weakness. If there is a deep blue colour under the tiny and narrow nails, (most pronounced at the base), heart weakness is almost inevitable.

WHITE NAILS

A white-looking nail bed can suggest iron deficiency, low vitality or more severe liver dysfunction. A pale, white or greyish tinge under the nails can indicate selfish leanings or lack of warmth. Depending on the quality of the nail, if it appears to be lifting off the quick, clouded, brittle and dry, it could indicate a fungal disease.

YELLOW /BROWN

Yellow colour in the nail beds or a brownish discolouration, splotches or stains in the skin directly under the nail, can indicate jaundice, liver or gallbladder conditions. These marks can also occur when there is a high level of bilirubin in the blood due to the body producing too much or not getting rid of it fast enough.

When the nail itself is white and clouded on the top section and yellow at its base, it can signify kidney disease. Other conditions can also cause yellowing, such as fungal infection or regular contact with heavy-duty chemicals on the nails.

RED NAILS CAN POINT TO STRESS

The redness of the nailbed mainly points to someone with intense passion or extra strength. Very red nails can be due to high blood pressure, bad temper or cardiovascular disease. Look at the colour of the palms to see if they too are red. If so, the subject may be doing everything in excess, mentally or physically stressed.

WHITE SPOTS OR LINES

White flecks or spots can show a vulnerable nervous system or a weak constitution. They are usually the first sign of delicate nerves and can appear during times of stress or when the body lacks a mineral such as calcium, zinc or magnesium. White lines across the nail can indicate acute fever or coronary disease.

BLACK/RED LINES

Several long, thin black specks or lines underneath the nail, is associated with a bacterial infection of the heart valves. If the line or speck is very close to the tip, it may be just a splinter or injury. Red lines or specks can be due to long-term high blood pressure, or if at the tip, also injury.

Fate Line Timing Events Scale in Palmistry

If you are interested in palmistry, you would also want to know how to estimate the timing on the lines. Fate line timing events: The timing on any line is never an exact science; this is mainly the case for the fate line, which registers our advancement through life. Each mark, break or divergence can potentially match an event in our life. Fate line timing is to possibly spot an impending change of career or another life event.

The fate line is the middle vertical crease on the palm. Some people call it a career line or line of Saturn. It is an excellent indicator of change in the life of its bearer. A perfect and straight fate line that runs directly from the palm’s base to below the middle finger can denote an unchanging and steady career, drive or direction in life. The person knows who they are; they are self-motivated and in control of their path in life from an early age.

Estimating the timeline on the fate line

What I find to be the easiest way to get a close estimate is to use the different lines to compare. If the heart and head lines form in a typical manner, such as in the palm photo below, then the age of approximately thirty-five is where the line crosses the head line. The age of fifty is when it crosses the heart line.

Where it crosses the heart line is usually the age of fifty. Not all palms have the lines in the same position, but this timing works if you imagine where the head and heart lines usually are. If there are breaks in the fate line, you can use this timescale to see approximately what age change is and what age the progress continues.

Age fifty on the fate line

How to know if fate line timing is accurate?

The best way to make the fate line timing more accurate is to compare past life events on the line. For instance, if there is an island on it (indicating a period of financial trouble). Ask the subject what age they were at the time of that event, and then it can be judged from that point.

If the hand does not have the typical lines, for instance, displaced higher or lower than average, or there is a Simian line, then I adjust the timing from the age of thirty, being the centre of the palm. The spacing tends to get narrower towards the later period.

Where the fate line starts

If the fate line starts from the life line, it shows a traditional start to a career. That means the career started from the individual’s background, education or personal merit. It represents a competent person determined to apply their energy and talent to succeed. If the fate line starts at the wrist at the centre of the hand, it shows first responsibilities and a balanced personality.

The fate line beginning at the base of the palm is a sign of common sense and independence using own efforts, which can manifest in the choices in life (and possibly the career). A fate line starting at the Mount of Moon shows people (or the public) based professions of their choosing. They succeed due to their appealing and essential qualities, which can be in the public eye. Often found in entertainers and actors.

What if you have two fate lines?

Depending on how tight they run to each other, a double fate line can refer to two similar occupations, hobbies or study alongside a career at the same time. If the lines are close, it can depict a successful business partnership and may even represent a husband or wife who is considered very supportive.

What if you don’t have a fate line?

Having no fate line does not mean the person has ‘no career’ or is unmotivated. Instead, it is more likely that they prefer to take life as it comes, not bound by any demands, responsibility or purpose. If you imagine the fate line as a path to follow, and there is no path, you are free to make one of your own. If you need to get to the other side of the forest and there’s no trail, you can still get through by finding or making that track.

As an example, a man who is a self-employed salesperson with goals and motivation to run his own business might not necessarily have a fate line. The probable reason for this may be because his skin may be coarse. He plans his days one day at a time and has no strict boundaries for his career.

Another example comes from a woman whom I know. This lady did not finish her schooling, leaving at sixteen to earn a living. She did not have any significant plans or ambitions to be successful but only wanted independence. She had no fate line, yet she was a regular and steady worker. However, she may have one now, as these lines can form when situations change.

The common aspect I noted about both people is that they have no interest in worldly achievements or obligations. They accept whatever comes along yet take responsibility for their role in life seriously. Someone not having a fate line explains quite a bit about the meaning. It shows how difficult it is to analyse on its own.

If you are reading for someone else

Remember, if you are doing a reading, use care and tact, and never alarm a potentially nervous or sensitive subject. It is not our job as hand analysts to humiliate or discourage anyone. If you fail to verify something, you might not have judged the whole hand correctly.

The lines do change over time

Remember, the lines can change over time. Therefore, what is evident in your hands now, does not imply a fixed quality or event. When using the lines for prediction, gather information from past trials that have led the person to be where they are now. Any lines or markings that represent the future are just assumptions. They show what is potential for the subject based on past actions. I hope you enjoy reading all my articles. Check out some of the latest ones below.

MISSING FATE LINE

The fate line is the vertical line on the palm which rises towards the middle finger. It is also known as the career line or Saturn line. In palmistry, it is usually referred to when analysing the hand for life changes, including the career. If you have a missing fate line, what does it mean? Don’t worry, I will explain in this article.

A perfect and straight fate line that runs directly from the base of the palm to below the middle finger is rare. However, it can denote a decided career or direction in life. The person with this type knows who they are; they are self-motivated and in control of their chosen path in life from an early age.

career line on the palm

Having no fate line does not mean the person has ‘no career’ or that they are completely unmotivated, but instead, it is more likely that they prefer to take life as it comes, not bound by any demands, responsibility (or purpose).

As an example, a man who is a self-employed salesperson with goals and motivation to run his own business might not necessarily have a fate line. The probable reason for this may be because his skin is coarse (tough, thick). He plans his days one day at a time and has no strict boundaries for his career.

Another example comes from a woman whom I know. She did not finish her schooling, leaving at the age of sixteen to earn herself a living. On top of that, she did not have any significant plans or ambitions to be successful, but only wanted independence. There was no fate line on her palm, yet she was a regular and steady worker. It is possible, however, that she has one now, as these lines can form when situations change.

You can still succeed without a fate line.

The common aspect that I noted about subjects with no fate line is that they have no interest in ‘worldly’ achievements or obligations. They accept whatever comes along, yet still, take responsibility for their role in life seriously. Someone not having a fate line explains quite a bit about the line and just how difficult it is to analyse on its own. The person can still succeed, but they do it without the boundaries of having ‘fate’ decide so to speak.

Usually, when someone does have a full and straight line, the person has set himself life goals with purpose but with conventional boundaries which can limit the diversity as far as occupation is concerned. It does not by any means show a perfect career.

FATE LINE PRESENT BUT NO CAREER

The fate line does not only represent a career; it shows a person knows what they want in life. An instance of this comes from a man, who at the age of sixty, had a strong fate line rising to the mount of Jupiter, which usually means a highly-determined nature. However, he had been unemployed for the past thirty years, with his only income coming from a government payment. I told him that it shows on his palm that he is successful in his chosen path, and he was surprised because he had not intended on returning to work anytime soon.

We both quickly realised that his line meant that he was on a steady path, no matter what it was. He did know what he wanted from life, which was to continue doing what he does. It made him feel comfortable and happy. That is probably why the fate line was so smooth, even though it had nothing to do with his career. He was ambitious, but not in a typical way. He had chosen his path and didn’t intend to divert from it.

Index Finger Meaning in Palmistry

The index finger, also commonly called the Jupiter finger, can vary in its meaning, depending on whether it is short, long, thin, thick, straight or bent. This digit represents the ego, pride, confidence, security, ambitions, self-image and leadership. It also relates to religious beliefs. The length of it also makes a difference in its significance.

For example, an extended index finger shows a highly ambitious and charismatic personality. These types are proud and easily take on a leading role. A short one, if thick, can have the same meaning. The qualities weaken If it is thin, short or bent.

curved jupiter finger, bent index finger

What does it mean when you have a bent index finger?

A bent index finger is when the finger itself has a curve in the bone. If the finger is just leaning towards the thumb or middle finger, the meaning is different. Simply leaning towards the middle finger shows a shy or introverted nature. Leaning towards the thumb is the opposite, an extroverted and outgoing personality.

An index finger that bends towards the middle finger tells us that something from the individuals past has changed or affected their normal behaviour or attitude. It may be a person who was a shy child or someone who struggled with communication or independence. They may have had to depend on others, especially family.

It can also denote some form of insecurity, possibly due to a history of unfortunate economic times. If the uncertainty or worry is still current in their life, this finger will tend to cling to the middle finger. However, frequently these people grow up to become very self-assertive and determined achievers. They often persistently work towards their goals (and have a dutiful outlook on life). Especially if combined with a strong thumb and a loop of seriousness.

The types of curvatures

When the whole index finger curves towards the middle finger (Saturn), it shows that in relationships, they are prone to be emotionally secretive or feel unstable; exposing a possessive or jealous nature. At the same time, the subject is likely to cling to the security of their partner or their family, especially financially.

When only the very tip is bent, the mental faculties are restrained or reserved, potentially affecting the self-image. The subject might have gone through some change in their life which affected their focus or ideas.

When the index finger leans away from Saturn, towards the thumb, it displays a very extroverted and ambitious nature; these people also like to be in the centre of attention.

With the middle and the index finger naturally held wide apart, the qualities of motivation, self-confidence and individuality are celebrated. They are independent, unrestrained and not bound by the views of others.

If all the fingers appear bent

When all the fingers bend inwards naturally, (not due to arthritis or other), it shows a timid or insecure nature. It can also denote a selfish and shrewd character. The reason for that is that the bend inwards brings all the fingers together, suggesting a lack of openness or willingness. They may have a distortion of reality in their life, which can, in some people, lead to corruption or unlawfulness, especially if the middle finger is short.

Short Line of Life Actual Meaning in Palmistry

short line of life, short life line

THE SHORT LINE OF LIFE ACTUAL MEANING

The first line a person typically looks at on the palm is the line of life. It is also frequently the most prominent line on the palm as it arcs around the mount of Venus, reaching somewhere near the wrist. Whether long or short, it is not an indicator of longevity. What it does reveal, however, is the nature and quality of your life.

To judge how a person manages their world; we observe the condition of the line. Ideally, it is well-defined without deviations or markings. In the present day, however, that is not likely to occur due to busy and demanding lives. The line of life also indicates the subjects’ physical strength and health during various periods of life.

Examining it is essential also in obtaining confirmation and timing of events because through the markings on the line, there is a capacity for seeing considerable changes. The line can alter, shift or even fade as circumstances change over time. However, consider all indicators from the palm before making assumptions, as some factors can offset (or support) the findings.

How the life line forms

The way a life line forms, depends on the other lines on the hand as well as the thickness of the mounts. For instance, if you have a deep Simian line with well-developed mounts, the chances are that the life line is short. If you are young and haven’t made yourself set life goals, then your lines are still changing or growing.

If you are a person who lives through emotion and you feel like the heart rules you, your heart line shows as the most robust. In such cases, others might be weaker. The most robust lines on the hand show what rules you live by the most. In the case of the prominent head line, you would very much be practical and rational. If the line of life is the strongest, you are physically driven and do not like change.

palmistry, destiny,

SHORT LIFE LINE

A long steady line shows vitality, routine, stability, motivation and someone who perhaps does not need to depend on anyone or anything. Therefore, a short line shows the opposite, less energy and stability. The thing for sure about this line is that a short one does not mean a short life. The length and prominence refer to the quality of life, the constitution, (lack of) family roots, and the get-up-and-go of the individual. It shows someone who loves their freedom and is not bound by any strict regime.

A short life line can also point to a specific time that a significant change occurs in the persons’ life. Look at the length of the line and apply the time scale to potentially suggest the age that the shift occurs.

In nearly all cases of a short line, I see branch lines that connect to the fate line (career line). The meaning of the connecting lines is that the subject at a certain point in their life makes a significant move or change, such as in their career. Also, check to see if the line is broken instead.

broken life line, break in line of life, life line is broken

The dangers of a short line of life

The danger with this type of line is if the person doesn’t make an effort to plan their future. The love of being free to do whatever they want can eventually catch up on them. So if you have this mark, think about what kind of responsibility are you taking over in your life? Are you allowing others to dictate what you do and where you go?

The short life line can belong to those who do not usually have a broad family background or family traditions. While they can be close to their immediate family members, it is not often that they arrange large family unions. It could be due to the fact they tend to move around a lot. A short life line can appear weak, so for someone with this feature, finding a place to settle down and sticking to a routine and setting goals, strengthens the line.

The lines on the palm can change

I have seen this type of line ‘grow’ as the person makes concrete decisions in their life. For example, I looked at the palm of a seventeen-year-old young man. He had hardly any life line at all; in fact, it was the shortest one I had ever seen. What I found out he was kept under close guard by his father, due to his flighty nature and the lack of a mother figure. This young man did not have any responsibilities at home. He seemed entirely dependent on his father and lived each day without any concerns.

I saw his hand again at age twenty-four, and he had an almost standard length life line on his palm. I asked him what he has been up to and he said ‘I’m adulting now’. He had moved out to live with friends a few years ago, he had a job and was saving money for a new car and a holiday. I saw his line depicting his newfound life goals, and it was a positive sign.

The start of the life line

The start of the life line does not always commence at the same position, occasionally starting close to the thumb and other times as high as the Mount of Jupiter. If it sits high, it shows an ambitious and confident nature.
Occasionally it can begin joined with the head line and appear like a branch from it, which means a much more insecure yet family orientated spirit. These types show a good deal less confidence compared to those with a separate line from the head line. The well-separated line depicts independence early in life.

where the life line starts

The arch of the life line

Some lines curve around enough to reach out towards the mount of Moon so far as to touch the fate line. I have learned that when this occurs, it has a significant meaning around that period indicating a need for change or an event that brings about change. Often career or motivations become a current focus.

A line that arches widely towards the mount of Moon depicts an outgoing and maybe restless person with many interests. They will have a love of travel and changes of scenery. A broad line curving well around the Venus mount shows warmth and affection but a little more reserved. A line close to the thumb shows a lack of energy and love; a person who is entirely selfish or cold emotionally, especially if the Venus mount is flat.

Children Lines in Palmistry Actual Meaning

destiny palmistry

Children Lines on the Palm

The lines, traditionally called children lines, are fine vertical lines from the Union (marriage) line on the side of the palm under the pinkie. Most of the time, the lines representing children are indistinct, so a keen eye or a magnifying glass might be needed to see them.

How to read the children lines?

I observe these by looking at the quality of the lines and whether they are present at all. These lines ideally should be fine and distinct without blurry edges, scars, or dry skin. The latter could indicate problems regarding conception. If the lines appear fuzzy, it can be that the person is past childbearing age. It can also mean the person has lost interest in caring for or having children. Remember that these lines can change many times during their lifetime.

What if I don’t have any lines for children?

If the lines are missing (or barely visible) altogether on a woman’s hand, it can mean that she has no interest in having a child and may not feel close to other people’s children. There may be another underlying reason, such as infertility or lack of a suitable partner. Look to other indicators on the palms for clues, such as vertical lines on the base of the mount of Venus.

Also, note the person’s age. Are they at a childbearing age? Are they over their age? If the person is still young, it is possible that the lines have not yet formed.

Are children lines a reliable indicator of actually having children?

Answer: To show potential children, the line must be clean with no marks or blurry edges. But are the lines reliable? No, these lines are unreliable in predicting the number of children. Only women give birth, yet both sexes can have children lines. Hence, the fertility line is a more appropriate term. However, I give the traditional meanings here for your information and knowledge.

What if you have many children lines, but you have no children?

If there are a multitude of lines, it might represent a person who is a good mother. It can also depict a mother figure, possibly the grandchildren.

A woman with many lines might never have conceived a child, but she might be a great aunt or have pets. She might consider them to be a part of her family.

A teacher, for example, who loves to be around youngsters might have several lines even if she has no offspring. These lines represent potential, so having many lines of children could depict a highly fertile individual.

Does age matter when reading the lines?

Yes! Age does matter when estimating someone’s children’s lines. Before you read someone’s hand, ensure they are at least at childbearing age. Ask them if they have already had children or grandchildren. For example, a woman in her fifties might no longer show the correct number of children lines because she will not have any more children. Or, she might be too old to start having any at that age.

The ideal age to read the child lines is 25-40. If the subject is too young, the lines might still be changing. A person over forty has fewer chances of falling pregnant, so the lines are unreliable. Using my hand as an example, I have four children: During my pregnancies, at my age between 30 and 37, the lines showed four lines. Now, at age 52, I have about 15 blurry lines. Therefore, I no longer have reliable indicators of the number of children.

Where else to find the child lines?

Other areas can show these lines. Look for vertical lines at the base of the Venus mount of the dominant hand. The longer the line, the stronger the character of the person. A long line might also depict a girl; the shorter ones describe boys. There might also be some fine horizontal lines on the middle phalange of the pinkie. These lines are a bit more challenging to see. A longer line shows a strong personality or a girl.

www.destinypalmistry.com

How do you tell if a child will be a boy or a girl from the child lines on the palm?

There’s a 50% chance that the line represents a boy and vice versa. I have been right 50% of the time (understandably). Because these lines are so difficult to read, I can only give you something to go by based on what other palmists have written about in the past.

Which is a boy line, and which one represents a girl line?

A shorter, thinner line is supposed to represent the girl, and a longer, thicker line represents a boy. Sometimes, the line representing a girl is straight, and the boy is arched. How well these lines form depends on the texture of the mother’s skin.

Below is a rare case example reading of these kid lines. The woman had a miscarriage or termination of an unborn child at age 22. She wasn’t married. Later, after marriage, she had four children. After a ten-year marriage, she divorced and met a new partner with whom she was a stepmother to another three children. The new partner took on the role of a father for the first four children. She had precisely seven children lines above the second marriage line.

A few years later, I rechecked this lady’s lines, and many of the child lines had become faded with blurry edges. She told me that she was going through menopause and could not have any more children. It was a clear sign that these lines represent the fertility and ability to bear children.

Palm Warts the Meaning in Hand Analysis

palm warts

What are palm warts?

Palm warts are small rough, grainy skin growths often found on the hands. They might also have tiny black dots (formed by clotted blood vessels). Common warts are noncancerous and usually caused by a viral infection of the skin. The cause is a virus called human papillomavirus. There are many variations of the virus. The one that causes warts on the hands differs from those in other body parts.

Some people think palm warts are malignant, but they are harmless. Most warts go away without any treatment. The cause might be that the immune system is weak for various reasons. However, in palmistry, many see these warts as something other than a skin infection.

See your doctor about warts on the palm if:

  • They are painful or change in appearance.
  • You’ve tried to treat them, and they continue or spread.
  • They interfere with activities.
  • You aren’t sure if they’re common warts.

Palm Warts in hand analysis

In hand analysis, warts show anxiety and self-criticism. Warts can appear on the palms due to long-term stress and emotional and mental overload; things might be out of control for the person. Like a bubble, a small white or pale spot has the same connotation as a wart on the palm.

  • On or near a union line (marriage line) under the pinkie on the side:  Problems within the relationship or with the sex organs.
  • On the Mercury mount (padded area under the pinkie): Communication or business issues.
  • Apollo mount or line (padded area under the ring finger): Reputation harm or stress within a social circle.
  • Saturn mount or line (padded area under the middle finger): Work, responsibility, legal or father/grandfather problem.
  • Jupiter mount (padded area under the index finger): Self-esteem or block in ambitions.
  • Venus mount (the ball of thumb): Worry over other people or actual physical disease.
  • Mount of Moon (lower padded area opposite the thumb): Long-term stress over emotional matters or mother/grandmother.
  • Tip of the thumb: Unable to make things happen.
  • Tip of the index finger: Lack of confidence.
  • On the middle fingertip: Worry over security, safety or money.
  • Ring fingertip: Relationships, social or creative block.
  • Tip of the pinkie: Business or sexual communication block.
  • The middle of the palm: Long-term personality issues such as bad temper, impatience, or lack of drive.

Other things to look for about the health from the hands

It’s always good to check for other signs on the hands in case of health concerns. Fingernails can give clues to some of these problems. When looking for clues to the health of the nails, we apply the same principles as for the hands: finding something unusual.

A nail usually takes six months to grow from the root to the tip, so some markings can be timed based on where it is on the nail. For example, a horizontal ridge halfway along the nail would suggest a change around three months ago. A typical healthy nail is pliable; it has a smooth texture; an average thickness, and the colour of the nail is typically light pink. The moons should be milky white and usually only visible on the thumb. See about the fingernails here.

A delicate textured hand should have matching smooth-looking nails. The healthy balance is out of proportion if the nails are coarse on a soft hand. The coarse nail is usually short, dry and dense, more commonly seen on a big hand with rough skin.

The red nailbed mainly points to someone with intense passion or extra strength. Very red nails can be due to high blood pressure, bad temper or cardiovascular disease. Look at the colour of the palms to see if they are red. If so, the subject may be doing everything in excess, mentally or physically.

Colour of the palms

We check the colour of the hands, looking for clues to the individual’s health. The colour is what shows the circulation of the blood or lack of it. The blood runs through the veins and arteries; it absorbs and carries away impurities, renewing and maintaining life.

The pink palm has a healthy amount of blood flowing and is a health mark. This colour depicts a vibrant, happy person, not pressured by too much blood or weakened by too little. These people can appreciate love and tenderness. They are optimistic, enjoy life and are social with people around them. It is the colour that balances the negative aspects of the hand.

PALE (WHITE) HANDS: The white hand shows coldness, a lack of warmth, life and desirability. Rather than be social, pleasant and comfortable, they have no interest in pleasing others. The blood does not reach the skin adequately, which comes from the muscularly weak heart. White-handed people lack enthusiasm and passion for love. However, they are imaginative and mystical. Many have an active mind which makes good litterateurs as a poet or prose writer.

RED HANDS: The redness of the hands comes from the force of the blood flow. It shows intensity in everything they do, whether business, art, love or war. They may find it hard to exercise self-control because the mind is blocked in its action by forceful blood. They show activity in the body and mind to the extreme. If only on the fingertips, the brain is active. If only on the inner Mars mount, they feel angry or anxious about something.
