The success line, in palmistry, is also known as the line of Apollo, line of sun or creativity is a vertical line which usually rises from the upper areas of the Mount of Moon. It is not a complete line on all hands and is more typically found only in segments. When someone has the success line on the palm, it signifies the sense of achievement and satisfaction that a person feels in their life. It is not a guaranteed mark of success in general.
The reason why it was originally named the line of Apollo, is that in legend, Apollo was the name granted to the sun god who ruled over creativity, music, and the arts; that is why the line is more prominent on those who are using their creative talent positively. (So, don’t be disheartened if you do not have this line).
Keep in mind that the lines on your palm can change over time; therefore, what is evident in your hands now, does not imply a fixed quality or event. When using the lines for prediction, gather information from the past trials that have led the person to be where they are now. Any lines or markings that represent the future are just assumptions. They show what is potential for the subject based on past actions, whether negative or positive.
The Length of the Success Line
The longer this line, the more it shows talent to express creativity, personal fulfilment or merely the capacity to enjoy life. It is not a guarantee of fame and fortune, but it does bring a certain amount of luck into the individual’s life. It shows that there is potential for accomplishing a great deal. In some cases, this line rises from inside the life line; it is then referred to as an inheritance line, suggesting money or property acquired from the family’s estate.
A line that begins from the line of life shows family influence or help in achieving success. Rising from the head line depicts achievement around the age of 35.
Crossbars along the success line below the heart line show obstacles around the age of 35-40. However, if the line continues, then the obstacle is temporary, most likely financial.
A success line that begins at the heart line points to a gain, victory, happiness or even fame around age 50.
When the line changes its angle or direction, it shows a change in the career or life goals. In this case, around age 55.
A line that reaches the ring finger shows a continuation of the achievement into old age.
The fate line shows a change in career or goals around the age of 50.
The fate line forks, depicting the potential for two income sources by around the age of 60.
More than one line?
Having more than one line is not uncommon, especially when an individual has many interests, each line can represent a different area of activity. A secondary line rising from the success line would indicate that achievement branched from one endeavour to another, as an example, a successful artist who writes a book about his art and the writing also becomes a success.
The success line begins around the age of 35 as a single line.
A second line forms parallel to the original line, which can depict a supporting business partner.
A third line towards the end of the line might suggest another enterprise or project in the later years.
Sometimes parallel lines along the line can refer to another person, particularly family relationships, such as a partner, one or both parents, son or daughter. I have found this to be true when the two parallel lines are very high on the mount reaching the finger of Apollo (ring finger) or between the finger of Saturn (middle finger) and Apollo. In such a case, it refers to living with a family member at old age. If joined lines, they represent a married couple. Markings on the line relate to obstacles or difficulties in achieving success.
Marks on the success line.
A clear star can be a mark of fame (good or bad fame). It can denote social attainment and wealth. But, the person may have to work hard and take risks to get there. Staying grounded is advised or else, general happiness might be affected. A square mark is a protective sign, usually from reputation or social influence. A cross, however, might be a risk of losing reputation. Be careful with judging crossing lines as many times it is simply parts of the girdle of Venus.
What is the ring of Saturn, and How to Modify or Remedy the Impact
The ring of Saturn is a palmistry term referring to a single or double curved (half circle) line directly beneath the middle finger. It can be called the Great Circle or, when a double line, the Ring of Morgana. NOTE: It is not made by the base finger crease (that every person has) nor by the skin ridges. Sometimes, the ring of Saturn is a slightly V shape. Other times, it is a group of curved lines that are not wholly joined. The meaning is less severe if the ring is made of broken pieces.
What does a ring of Morgana mean?
Ring of Morgana is a term used for the ring of Saturn. (Note that it has no demonic meaning in real palmistry). It is not made up of the base crease of the finger because everyone has those creases. I realise people on TikTok are making it a trend, but It is a unique line or set of lines much rarer than the normal finger creases. Like most ring lines in palmistry, the ring of Saturn blocks Saturn’s energy, representing our boundaries, responsibilities, discipline, maturity and seriousness. There are various meanings depending on the other features. However, because there isn’t a smooth flow from Saturn, a fully formed half-circle represents a feeling of pessimism or distorted reality. They might not feel they can behave responsibly or take things very seriously. This type of nature often makes itself apparent in career life. These people might not stick to one job or lack true purpose in life.
More meanings of the Saturn ring under the middle finger
Someone with a ring of Saturn may also prefer to spend time alone or find social situations uncomfortable. They can be moody, complicated, and unrealistic. Some refer to them as a ‘wet blanket’ damping others’ enthusiasm. A clean head or heart line helps to balance out some of these negative qualities. If the ring is broken or split in the centre, it helps with open-mindedness.
The meaning varies depending on other indicators
Look at the head and heart line to see which predominates to get clues to the person’s ideas or experiences. Positive markings help counteract the effects, and the head and heart lines should be relatively free of flaws with no breaks and not too many branch lines. Ideally, the heart and head line will have a curve (not a short line). The life line should have an even flow without interruptions. A soft hand will also lessen the negative qualities of the ring of Saturn.
A full or partial ring of Saturn
Mostly, the ring is not entirely complete but an imperfect one. In that case, it will not be so defective, and the meaning is less severe, allowing Saturn’s energy to flow. If the lines look like multiple layers of lines, it is a mark of someone sensitive and moody in their nature. They absorb a lot of energy, often unwanted, but if they can avoid allowing negative energy to affect their psyche, there’s nothing to worry about.
An Example Case – the Prison Line, Feeling of Imprisonment
(Case): A fully formed ring can also suggest feelings of imprisonment. In some cases, the person will (actually) be imprisoned, such as Ira Marlatt, who has a proper full-formed ring of Saturn (his hand drawing below). Ira was a convicted killer with a violent temper. He also had a partial Girdle of Venus. (See below for more about the girdle of Venus). Considering Ira Marlatts’ nature, his poor head line and other features on his hands show that they did not help him to curb the negative traits.

The existence of this line can also show someone who jumps from one idea to another and does not stick to one long enough to make it useful. The line cuts off the balancing qualities of Saturn, like wisdom and seriousness. Some indications may help offset any defects. A balanced and well-formed thumb with a good head line is the best backup for a ring of Saturn.
Remedy – What to do if you have a Ring of Saturn?
It’s not a common mark, but if you have one and now know its meaning, you can take steps to avoid the negative side effects.
Recognise when you feel overly gloomy or pessimistic and change your thoughts to more positive ones.
If you are knowingly acting irresponsibly, take action towards more acceptable behaviour. Think before you act.
Understand that some characteristics are just who you are. If you prefer to be alone, take time out. Maybe take on something creative to help you release the negative energy positively.
More Remedies for the Ring of Saturn Effects
Feeling negative, gloomy, or irresponsible can be a challenging and draining experience. However, it is essential to remember that you have the power to change your mindset and take control of your emotions. By applying a few easy approaches, you can effectively stop feeling negative and cultivate a more positive and responsible outlook.
1. Self Awareness
Firstly, practising self-awareness is vital. Take the time to identify the triggers that lead to negative emotions or feelings of irresponsibility, like certain situations, people, or even your thoughts. Once you know these triggers, you can work on avoiding or managing them more effectively.
2. Gratitude
Secondly, focus on gratitude and positivity. Make a conscious effort to shift your attention towards what you are grateful for in your life, like keeping a gratitude journal or regularly reminding yourself of the positive aspects of each day. You can gradually reduce negativity and gloominess by redirecting your thoughts towards positivity.
3. Reflecting on Actions
Additionally, taking responsibility for your actions is crucial in combating feelings of irresponsibility. Reflect on areas where you may have been neglecting your duties and make a plan to address them proactively. Break tasks into smaller, manageable steps and hold yourself accountable for completing them.
4. Seeking Support
Furthermore, surrounding yourself with supportive and positive influences can significantly impact how you feel about yourself and the world around you. Seek relationships with individuals who uplift and inspire you rather than those who bring negativity into your life.
5. Prioritize Self-Care
Lastly, prioritize self-care activities that promote mental well-being, such as exercise, meditation, hobbies, or leisure time. Taking care of your mind and emotions will help boost your mood and overall sense of responsibility. Remember that changing negative thought patterns takes time and effort. Still, with consistent practice, these strategies can help shift your mindset towards positivity while fostering a greater sense of responsibility in all aspects of life.
6. Girdle of Venus
The Girdle of Venus is like an additional heart line that adds sensitivity and intensity to the personality. In some cases where the heart line is absent, such as the Simian line, it takes the place of that line. From a positive perspective, it signifies a compassionate and open-hearted character. It is good if found in the hands of someone in the caring profession because they understand the pain of others. However, it can also indicate an intense state of nervousness and quick temper if aspects of the hand show these qualities elsewhere.
The meaning of a complete Girdle
The line in its full form strengthens whatever characteristics are present in the individual. It is a mark of heightened nerves, feelings, and emotions, positive or negative. If on an artist’s hand, the art would depict emotion well. In most cases, it is only present in sections, and the meaning varies depending on its length, quality, and type of hand which has it. If with a full Girdle on a soft water-type hand, its owner can be tough on the outside, but, they may experience the opposite on the inside. Their feelings are easily hurt, and they are quite receptive to what is going on around them. They can quickly become addicted to stimulants, and sad movies make them cry due to their empathic nature.
When unbroken and deeply etched, it may be a sign of
selfishness and irrational or neurotic behaviour, especially if with a weak or
broken head line. In the old palmistry, it was called the line of prostitution.
In a modern view, flirtatiousness would be appropriate.
