Markings on Palms in Hand Analysis

Markings on Palms, like slashes, stars and grilles

Many issues such as health problems, feelings, and particular talent can be recognised from marks like the grille, crosses, stars, squares, triangles and more. Not all lines have a name.

The markings we see on the palms that don’t seem to fit into any category of a line are still significant in a sense that they can indicate a warning, such as stress, or point to a sign of talent, fortune or an event.

In most cases, markings on the mounts accentuate the meaning of the mount either in a favourable or in an undesirable way. A star is one marking which can be seen as both good and bad.

On a line, the star is an unwelcome find, but on the Jupiter or Apollo mount, it reveals extraordinary talent, financial windfalls or even fame as a reward for consistent effort.

But even these positive markings need to be viewed as cautionary since sudden fame or success can have an effect on the personal life – An effect like keeping one’s head together, and feet on the ground which will ensure a more secure and happily ever after scenario.

Some of these markings will take a careful eye when analysing what they mean due to the difficulty in interpreting whether it is a mix of other lines overlapping or one which stands on its own.

GRILLE MARKINGS ON PALMS

A grille marking appears on a hand when there is a group of many lines in a patch. Typically there are vertical and horizontal lines overlapping each other in one area forming what may look like a lattice. But usually, the lines are not visible but instead an area in which appears to be a blur of lines or skin ridges.

The grille mark in most cases is unfavourable. It shows overuse, depending on which part of the hand it is. For example, beneath the pinkie, the individual might be focusing too much on their business and communications and it is showing too much stress.

STAR MARKINGS ON PALMS

A star will have at least three lines crossing at the same point and not be made up by other minor or major lines. It is also found independently on the palm.

While most star markings on the mounts are a welcome sign, they come with a complex connotation. The reason could be due to the challenges that are usually involved in the attainment of high-level success or recognition. A star on a line, however, can depict a shock to the system.
